A soldier crossed the river to evacuate residents trapped in mudflows in a flash flood in Bangga Village, South Dolo Subdistrict, Sigi Regency, about 80 kilometers south of Palu City, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, Monday (April 29, 2019). The disaster that occurred on Sunday (April 28, 2019) at around 19:00 local time hoarded hundreds of houses, houses of worship, and schools in two villages, namely the Bangga and Balongga Village.

Lapindo mudflow victims pray and sow flowers during the tenth anniversary of the Lapindo mudflow eruption on May 30, 2016 in Sidoarjo, East Java, Indonesia. Lapindo mudflow eruption is suspected to have been triggered by the drilling activities carried out by Indonesian oil and gas company Lapindo Brantas Inc, which belonged to Aburizal Bakrie. The disaster killed 14 people and displaced 40,000 others, with damages reaching $2.7 billion. In the reign of Indonesia President Joko Widodo, most Lapindo victims already received the compensation. They warn the government to reject the new drilling plan of Lapindo Brantas Inc near this area during the tenth anniversary of the mudflow eruption.
