Two children look on in disbelief at the scene after a vehicle strikes multiple children and an adult, killing one child and leaving others in serious condition in Oakland, New Jersey, United States, on July 24, 2025. On July 24, 2025, at approximately 3:43 p.m., the Oakland Police Department responds to a report of multiple pedestrians struck by a vehicle at the intersection of East Oak Street and Ramapo Valley Road. Four pedestrians, including an adult and three children, are injured. One of the children is pronounced dead, and the remaining victims sustain varying degrees of injuries, including serious injuries.
