A portrait of 19th-century Ukrainian poet and painter Taras Shevchenko featuring the phrase ''Life Is Now'' lies among the debris on the floor of a coffee shop damaged by a Russian drone attack in the Kholodnohirskyi district, Kharkiv, Ukraine, on October 22, 2025. At around 11:00 am local time on Wednesday, October 22, Russian troops attack the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv with three Shahed drones. The UAVs hit a private educational centre, where up to 50 children are present. During the air raid, they are taken to the nearest shelter, and from there, they are evacuated by rescuers. A fire breaks out in the building. As a result of the attack, a 40-year-old man suffers fatal injuries. Nine other people are wounded, and all of them receive medical assistance.

The September Full Moon, known as the Harvest Moon, occurs on September 17 and 18. During this time, the Moon is at the nearest point in its orbit around Earth. As summer begins to wane and the days gradually shorten, the Harvest Moon graces the night sky, offering farmers and communities a time to reap the rewards of their labor and celebrate the fruits of the earth. This is why it is popularly known as the Harvest Moon. According to NASA, when the Moon is near the horizon during moonrise, objects like trees and rocks in the foreground can provide a sense of scale. The ''Harvest Moon'' was seen through the gaps in the branches and leaves of trees in a forest in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on September 17, 2024.

Local women with traditional clothes are farming, working on the potato field. The remote Himalayan village of Kyanjin Gompa is located in the Langtang Valley within the Langtang National Park region, part of the Himalayas near the Tibetan border, at an altitude over 3,800 meters high. It is nestled between the mountains Tsegro Ri, Kyanjin Ri, Langtang Lirung, Yubra Himal, Ganesh Himal, Gangchhempo Peak, Yala, and Nayakang in addition to glaciers, rivers, and lakes. Overlooking the settlement is Langtang Lirung, a peak in the Langtang Himal range with its highest point at an elevation of 7,234 meters - 23,734 feet. Langtang Lirung is the 99th tallest mountain in the world, first summited in 1978. On April 25, 2015, a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake triggered an avalanche and landslide in Langtang village, directly killing 243 people and obliterating the village. Langtang National Park is a popular trekking destination for both foreign trekkers and locals. The village's inhabitants are predominantly Tamang Tibetan or Lama Tamang, with origins from Tibet. The village offers tea houses, hotels, lodges, huts, a bakery, a monastery, and a cheese factory. Access to Kyanjin Gompa is only possible on foot, requiring a multi-day trek from the nearest road and town. Locals work with tourists but also with agriculture, farming potatoes or having yaks.
