A prisoner exchange takes place at the Al-Mutanah checkpoint in the southern Syrian province of Suwayda between Syrian authorities and armed groups affiliated with Sheikh Hikmat Al-Hajri, with the participation of the Syrian Civil Defence, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, and the International Committee of the Red Cross. The government releases 61 detainees, while the armed groups free 25 individuals they have been holding, on February 26, 2026.
