On December 25, 2025, in Mexico City, Mexico, volunteers from the Italian organization Sant'Egidio provide food to homeless people in the capital as part of the Christmas and New Year festivities. Sant'Egidio is a Christian community founded in 1968, shortly after the Second Vatican Council, by Andrea Riccardi at a school in central Rome. This organization grows into a network of communities that spreads to more than 70 countries, including Mexico, and dedicates special attention to marginalized communities and the homeless.
