An evidence marker at Breukelen Playground shows a ring-shaped object found at the scene where a man is fatally stabbed at Stanley Avenue and Louisiana Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn, New York, United States, on July 20, 2025. On Sunday morning at approximately 1:20 AM, EMS picks up an unidentified man with multiple stab wounds to the chest in front of Stanley Avenue and Louisiana Avenue, within the confines of the 69 Precinct in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York City. EMS transports the individual to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in critical condition where he is later pronounced dead. There are no suspects in custody at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing by the New York City Police Department. The identity of the deceased is pending family notification.
