Deputy Director of Ar-Raudhatul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School, Carles Ginting, distributes zakat packages of Tunisian dates to students in Medan, North Sumatra, on February 21, 2026. Approximately 3,400 male and female students prepare to perform a mass Quranic recitation (Tadarus) immediately following the Dhuhr congregational prayer as part of their Ramadan 1447 Hijriah spiritual routine. According to Carles Ginting, through the Student Counseling Division led by Ustadz Azmi Rauf Hasibuan, the zakat is compiled from various donors and parents to provide for the students' activities during the holy month leading up to the Eid Al-Fitr celebration. The distribution is managed by the Raudhatul Hasanah Zakat Management Unit (UPZ).
