Detail Baroque facade of the University of Valladolid (Spain) was built between 1716-1718, under the direction of the Fathers of the Discalced Carmelite Convent, Valladolid, following the plans of Fray Pedro de la Visitation VALLADOLID-SPAIN 12/02/2016. Valladolid is a municipality and a Spanish city located in the northwest quadrant of the Iberian Peninsula, capital of the province of Valladolid and seat of the Parliament and the Government of the autonomous community of Castilla y Leon.Carlos I made political capital Valladolid and was then between 1601 and 1606, capital of the Spanish Empire until this function moved permanently to Madrid.In Valladolid Fernando was proclaimed king of Castile and Ferdinand and Isabella were married, were born Enrique IV, Felipe II, Felipe IV and Anne of Austria, Queen of France, signed Magallanes the capitulations of the first circumnavigation of the world and died Columbus. In the Castilian city he finished writing Cervantes Don Quixote and Quevedo wrote. Also they established their workshops the greatest sculptors and goldsmiths of the Spanish Renaissance.
