Investigators with the NYPD crime scene unit collect numerous pieces of evidence as they work the scene where a woman is found dead overnight on a sidewalk at East 124 Street and Park Avenue within the confines of the 25 precinct in Manhattan, New York, United States, on October 28, 2025. On Monday evening at approximately 6:33 PM, NYPD personnel are requested by MTA Police regarding an unconscious female on the sidewalk at East 124 Street and Park Avenue, within the confines of the 25 Precinct. Upon arrival, police observe an unidentified female, unconscious and unresponsive, lying on the sidewalk at the location. EMS responds and pronounces the female deceased at the scene. The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner determines the cause of death, and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is pending at this time.

A fire breaks out in the building. As a result of the attack, a 40-year-old man suffers fatal injuries. Nine other people are wounded, and all of them receive medical assistance.
