A bronze stele with engraved names and inscriptions honors the 13 people killed and over 200 injured in the deadliest terrorist attack in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany. Designed by Friedrich Koller and erected in 1981, the stele is surrounded by a rusted steel wall symbolizing the destruction caused.
