Progressive Party Chairperson Kim Jae-yeon, along with National Assembly Members Yoon Jong-oh and Jung Hye-kyung and about 30 party members, hold the demonstration near the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan, Seoul, South Korea, on December 12, 2024, calling for the impeachment and urgent detention of President Yoon. The protesters claim that the President's morning address to the nation amounts to an admission of being the mastermind of a rebellion and demand his immediate arrest. Police prevent the group from advancing within several hundred meters of the residence.
