A dog waiting for adoption in a shelter a day ahead of 'Operation Frost' launched by KTOZ Shelter for Homeless Animals calling on locals to temporarily adopt dogs due to low temperature drop. Krakow, Poland on January 9th, 2026. The shelter currently houses nearly 500 animals. Similar initiatives have taken place in previous years. In 2024 over 120 dogs were placed for temporary adoption, some of which remained with their owners permanently.
