Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) reports that Russian forces carry out a targeted strike on civilian passenger rolling stock on Thursday night, August 28. The Intercity+ high-speed train depot is among the targets.

The ''Hero'' shield machine is successfully passing under the Yao Lake branch as it completes the 411th ring excavation for the Tianxiang Avenue Tunnel, which is part of the Nanchang-Jiujiang Intercity Railway in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, China, on May 1, 2024. The Tianxiang Avenue Tunnel, a critical component of the railway's full line, spans a total length of 6.379 km and is the largest shield tunnel for a 350 km/h high-speed railway officially under construction in China.
