Demonstrators hold up a sign reading in Arabic, ''They imprison us, strangle us, brutalize us, exile us, and humiliate us,'' as others raise a placard featuring a portrait of Ahmed Najib Chebbi with text in Arabic, ''Power is with the authorities, and justice is on our side,'' during a rally that brings together relatives and members of the National Committee in Support of Political Prisoner Ahmed Najib Chebbi organized outside the Court of Appeal in Tunis, Tunisia, on December 29, 2025. Participants aim to express solidarity with the imprisoned prominent opposition figure Ahmed Najib Chebbi (or Ahmed Nejib Chebbi) as the court holds a hearing to examine an objection to the 12-year prison sentence issued against him in absentia in the case known as ''conspiracy against state security.'' Chebbi, 81, boycotts both the first-instance and appeal court hearings, denouncing what he describes as an ''unfair trial, unjust sentence, and unlawful detention.'' Most defendants in the case, including him, refuse to appear by videoconference, as ordered by the judge.

A woman holds a placard reading 'Women are the first victims of bombs'. Women from the collective NousToustes and other organizations such as SUD and Amnesty International organize a nationwide march in France against feminicides, sexual and sexist violence, and patriarchy. Several thousand people, both women and men, take to the streets on this day. They demand more measures from the French government to protect women who are beaten, injured, or killed by their partners. They state that 65% of killed women had approached the police to make a complaint, but the police classified the complaints. They also ask for better police training to pay attention to these complaints. Feminist organizations demand at least EUR2.6 billion per year as necessary to tackle violence against women. In 2023, more than 270,000 women are victims of violence by their partners. This takes place in Toulouse, France, on November 22, 2025.
