A young woman holds a placard reading 'I'm 15 yo and I've already filled a complaint.' Women from the collective NousToustes and other organizations such as SUD or Amnesty International organize a nationwide march in France against feminicides, sexual and sexist violence, and patriarchy. Several thousand people, women and men, take to the streets for this day. They demand more resources from the French government to protect women beaten, injured, or killed by their partners. They say that 65% of killed women come to the police to make a complaint, but police classify the complaints. They also ask the police to have better training to pay attention to these complaints. Feminist organizations demand at least EUR2.6 billion per year as necessary to tackle violence against women. In 2023, more than 270,000 women are victims of violence by their partners. This event takes place in Toulouse, France, on November 22, 2025.

4 October 2025

A woman speaks into a microphone while holding a cardboard sign reading, 'In Madagascar, brandishing this placard could cost me my life'. The Madagascan community of Toulouse gathers in Toulouse, France, on October 4, 2025, against the policies of Madagascar's President Andry Rajoelina and his government, which protesters deem corrupt. In Madagascar, President Rajoelina resigns, but Madagascar's Gen Z protesters also demand his resignation. Despite Madagascar's significant mineral wealth, biodiversity, and agricultural land, the Indian Ocean island nation is among the poorest countries in the world. At least 22 people are killed and more than 100 injured in the first few days of the protests. Protests grow since last week into the largest wave of unrest Madagascar has seen in years, tapping into widespread discontent with high levels of poverty and corruption.
