Ltd. is an airline headquartered in Kathmandu, a subsidiary of Yeti Airlines operating scheduled flights and air charter services with a fleet of Short Takeoff and landing planes, serving remote mountainous airports and airstrips. Forbes rated Tara Air as one of the "most unsafe airlines" in 2019 due to several significant incidents. On May 29, 2022 a plane carrying 22 passenger and crew went missing. The plane with registration 9N-AET was flying from the city of Pokhara to Jomsom. According to Nepal's Civil Aviation Authority, the aircraft lost contact with air control 12 minutes after take off.
