Protesters raise placards that read in Arabic, “we queers are against all the retrograde Islamists”, as others raise placards that read in Arabic, “Release all young detainees”, during a protest held on occasion of the appeal trial of the LGBTQI+ and feminist activist Rania Amdouni, outside the court of Tunis in Tunisia on March 17, 2021, to demand her release. Ten days ago, the queer Rania Amdouni, 26-year-old, has been arrested and incarcerated in a women's prison after being sentenced at first instance to six months in jail for insulting police and abuse of morals.
