In reaction to last week's ruling by the Constitutional Tribunal banning resulting in a near-total ban on abortions in Poland women across the country have been called to go on strike on Wednesday. Today's strike marks the 7th consecutive day of pro-choice protests against the right-wing, Law and Justice controlled government with it's close ties to the Catholic church. Poland's de facto leader and head of the Law and Justice party Jaroslaw Kaczynski has called on nationalist vigilantes to defend churches "at every price" furthering already simmering divisions in the country.
