Bamni Falls, located within the Ajodhya Hills in Purulia, West Bengal, is a natural attraction known for its cascading water flowing over rugged, boulder-strewn terrain. It is famous for its tranquil, dense forest surroundings, steep trekking trail with narrow stairs, and serene environment. The waterfall cascades down in stages, with distinct levels, including around 350 to 750 steps through rocky, hilly terrain. Visiting the falls is hazardous, particularly during the monsoon season, with risks including flash floods, extremely slippery rocks, and strong currents. Other dangers include taking selfies near steep, unguarded cliffs and leech infestations. Mass tourists stand on wet slippery rocks, take selfies, and some even go into the waterfall and collect water, at a place where a death occurred just a few days ago in Ajodhya Hill, Purulia, West Bengal, India, on January 11, 2026.

Rangers are taking part in a rally against proposed restrictions on logging in Warsaw, Poland, on July 12, 2024. Hundreds of rangers from the Polish governmental organization State Forests (National Forest Holding) are taking to the streets to protest against the Ministry of Climate and Environment's proposed project to restrict logging in the most valuable parts of the forests, such as old-growth forests aged 100-200 years, water-protective forests, and mountain forests. The rangers are demanding that the Minister of Climate and Environment, Paulina Hennig-Kloska, and her deputy Minister Mikolaj Dorozala resign immediately as the proposed changes are putting their work and the state of the forests at risk. The State Forests is a Polish governmental organization that manages state-owned Polish forests on behalf of the Polish State Treasury. The organization does not have a legal personality and is required to be financially self-sufficient.
