The Philips Stadion, PSV club stadium in the Dutch city of Eindhoven is barricaded with shipping containers to protect the building, the museum, fanstore, multiple gates, trackside and supporters home side from riots and looting as happened previously in the city. The fortification and sealing of the front side of the stadium took place after the club received some threats according to the local media. Eindhoven faced some violent clashes during an anti-lockdown / anti-curfew protest that turned into fights with the police, looting shops and damaging the city. The Dutch government imposed in January a night curfew as stricter measures to fight the spread of the Coronavirus Pandemic and the new Covid-19 mutation. Previously since December 2020, a COVID lockdown was applied with bars, restaurants, non-essential shops and markets closed. Eindhoven, The Netherlands on January 29, 2020
