In Krakow, Poland, on February 20, 2026, Isabella Rauti, Italy's Deputy Defence Minister, Catherine Vautrin, France's Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, Boris Pistorius, German Defence Minister, and Luke Pollard, Britain's Minister of State for Defence Readiness and Industry, sign the agreement following a meeting with defense ministers in the E5 format at the Collegium Medicum. The Polish Deputy Prime Minister meets with the defense ministers of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and--in the form of a VTC--Ukraine. The meeting focuses on European unity in the context of defense and security, as well as shared responsibility for this. This is the 7th meeting in this format since 2024.
