Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have intensified efforts across the Kashmir Valley under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan (Drug-Free Jammu and Kashmir Campaign), a 100-day initiative launched by Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, on April 11, 2026. Police and security forces carry out raids in residential neighborhoods and marketplaces, search vehicles, seize narcotics and other contraband, and detain multiple suspects as part of ongoing efforts to address drug trafficking and smuggling networks in the region.
