Religious items are sold at the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, on April 12, 2024. The temple is more than 260 years old and recently comes into the spotlight after gold coins and precious stones worth 500 billion rupees (USD 11.2 billion) are found in its vaults. Five vaults of the temple are opened, yielding enormous quantities of gold and silver jewelry, coins, and precious stones. Following the discovery, Kerala police take over security from temple staff.
