Bells are hanging from the Golu Devta Temple (Bell Temple) in Ghorakhal, Uttarakhand, India, on April 20, 2024. Golu Devta is worshipped as a deity of justice by the Kumaoni and Garhwali communities. Devotees are visiting the temple to offer prayers to Golu Devta, seeking justice for long-standing court cases or the removal of obstacles in their lives. They are hanging bells, with or without their written pleas, to the temple's poles. If their pleas are granted and justice is served, they will return to hang a larger bell. Brass alloy bells are being sold at shops outside the temple that specialize in puja items.
