The construction of the Dhulikhel-Khawa road section under the Araniko Highway remains uncertain. The road construction project comes to a standstill after the contract with the construction company is terminated due to failure to complete the work within the stipulated and extended deadlines. A contract agreement is signed between the Road Division Office, Bhaktapur, and Gauri Parbati Nirman Sewa Pvt. Ltd on June 3, 2022, for the expansion of the 4.155-kilometre Dhulikhel-Khawa road section, with a deadline of 22 months, which expires on April 1, 2024.
