Indian women farmers return after day long work in farm fields in soroan village , some 22 kms from Allahabad on February 1,2019. Finance Minister Piyush Goyal in his budget speech today announced the plan of the government to provide an assisted income support to small and marginal farmers under the scheme Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PMKISAN). Under the scheme a direct transfer of Rs 6,000 per year will be made to the bank accounts of farmers owning less than two hectares of land, Goyal told the parliament today. This translates to apprximately Rs 17 per day.

An Indonesian policeman destroys marijuana plants during an attack on a marijuana plantation in North Aceh on July 6, 2018, Aceh, Indonesia. The Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and the Indonesian police destroyed 10.5 hectares of marijuana plantations estimated at 70 tons of wet marijuana destroyed on site by burning. Aceh is the largest illegal marijuana producing province in Indonesia, spreading to Southeast Asia.
