A 44-year-old man is shot multiple times at Joji Gyros in the 2500 block of E. 79th St. in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on September 9, 2025. On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 1:07 p.m., the man is near the sidewalk when three unknown male suspects approach him, and at least one suspect produces a handgun and fires shots. The victim is struck multiple times in the body and is transported to U of C Hospital, where he is pronounced deceased. Several shell casings are found at the scene. There are no suspects in custody, and Chicago Police officers are investigating.
