Rome Capital is currently observing the Day of Remembrance and Hospitality on October 3, 2023, in Rome, Italy.

CHOUIN, FRANCE - JUNE 07, 2023: Final resting place of Private Jack Banks, seen on the 79th Anniversary D-Day Service at Jerusalem War Cemetery, in Chouain, Calvados, France, on June 07, 2023. Private Jack Banks, Durham Light Infantry, bravely fought in Normandy at 16 years old. He tragically lost his life while attempting to disable an enemy machine gun. His valiant sacrifice occurred six weeks after landing on Gold Beach on D-Day.
