The last polio case is detected in Nepal on August 30, 2010, and the zero polio case status is maintained since then. The Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) in Nepal starts in 1979; it is piloted in three districts (Rupandehi, Dhanusa, and Sindhupalchowk) with BCG and DPT.

Evidence tags are being put on weapons when they are being turned in at the event. The Chicago Police Department is hosting a Gun Turn-In event at Compassion Baptist Church in the Calumet Heights neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, United States, on June 8, 2024. Several people are turning in ammunition, rifles, and handguns at the event. When someone is turning in a gun they may have, no questions are being asked. For each real gun turned in, an individual is receiving a $100 Visa gift card. If someone is turning in a BB-Gun, Air-Gun, or a Replica Gun, that person is receiving $10 for each one turned in. Toy-Guns are not receiving a Prepaid Visa Card.
