KP Sharma Oli, former Nepali Prime Minister and Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal- Unified Marxist Leninist (Center), waves at his party members during a mass gathering after a show of power organized in Kathmandu, Nepal, on November 22, 2025. The show of power by CPN-UML comes ahead of the election of the House of Representatives called for March 5, 2026. Chairman of the UML and the former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is vocal against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR), insisting there is no alternative to the restoration of parliament. Oli says the HoR is dissolved unconstitutionally and must be revived. He describes the recommendation for dissolution as unauthorized and unconstitutional, calling it ''a regrettable step taken in violation of the constitution''.
