The Dingy Bushbrown (Mycalesis perseus) is a species of satyrine butterfly found in South Asia and Southeast Asia. On the upperside, the wings are dark grayish brown with a large but obscure ocellus on the forewing. The male has a small, dark brown sex brand in the space of the forewing and another on the hindwing overlaid with a pale yellow hair tuft. Adults fly low in and around grassy patches at several locations across the island. As with other Satyrinae members, the adults fly in an erratic and jerky manner as their wings are closed for a relatively long period during flights. The Chestnut Bob (Iambrix salsala) is a butterfly belonging to the family Hesperiidae, found in parts of South Asia and Southeast Asia, including Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, North Vietnam, Hainan, Hong Kong, South Yunnan, Langkawi, Malaysia, Singapore, Tioman, Sumatra, and Java, along the Himalayas from Kumaon to Myanmar. Males and females are dark brown with an olive-brown gloss. On the upperside, the forewing has two or three ill-defined yellowish or semi-transparent white spots ascending obliquely from beyond the middle of the posterior margin. Although its flight is jerky, it basks in the morning by keeping its hindwing spread flat and its forewing perpendicular. They feed on flowers or herbs among grasses. The rice swift (Borbo cinnara), or Formosan swift, or rice leaf folder, is a skipper butterfly belonging to the family Hesperiidae, found in Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Taiwan, and Australia. On the upper side, the wings are brown with the basal area yellowish green. The forewing has a yellow non-hyaline spot in space 1b and a decreasing series of hyaline spots from spaces 2 to 4, 6 to 8, and two spots in the cell. The hind wing has a few obscure hyaline spots and does not have any cell spots. On the underside, the wings are yellowish brown with greenish scaling. The hind wing has whitish spots in spaces 2-4 and 6, where the spot in space 4 is typically small or even absent.
