A view of crab boxes stocked on Roundstone Pier, during the COVID-19 lockdown. From today, Ireland is easing certain restrictions, including the reopening of outdoor sports facilities, sports fields, golf courses and tennis courts. Non-contact sporting activities like golf and tennis can resume. Some visitor attractions will also reopen, including zoos, open animal farms, and heritage sites, but not amusement parks. Any hospitality services in these areas will only be available for take-away services and capacity limits will apply. The Government is working on plans to reopen hotels from early June. A general view of Ervallagh, a small collection of houses, around a sandy beach and drying harbour, about one and a half miles from the village of Roundstone, in Connemara. The harbour is used by local fishermen and visitors to the area, for fishing, sailing and visiting the islands. The beach is sandy and shelves very gradually, being safe for small children. At high tide the harbour fills and the pier makes an excellent diving board for braver swimmers. On Sunday, 25 April 2021, in Ervallagh, Roundstone, Connemara, Co. Galway, Ireland.
