One of breeders pick up corn which has been mashed as the primary food for feeding the laying hen at Kalisidi Village, West Ungaran, Central Java Indonesia on February 13th,2016. During increased the price of corn and decreased priceof eggs in market, some of breeders should mixing with others ingredient The breeders and farmers in Indonesia are screaming, they weren't ready to face competition in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) which has been implemented since the end of December 2015 ago. Entering the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), certainly foreign investors are more flexible to control sectors the livestock and agriculture in Indonesia. The impact is the breeders and local farmers can't compete because they don't have a large capital fund. One of the sectors that affected are the laying hen farms. According to data from the source of The Joint Organization of National Chicken Breeders in Indonesia (GOPAN), at least 70% of the laying hen farms on the Java island has been controlled by foreign investors who have big capital fund to develop the laying hen farms in Indonesia.The foreign investors are very interested in developing of the laying hen farms in Indonesia, especially in Java because of the level of consumption of eggs is very high. The Joint Organization of National Chicken Breeders (GOPAN) very hopeful the Indonesian Government to immediately issue a new policy regulations to manage the investors who come to Indonesia, so the breeders can more ready to compete in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
