WARSAW, POLAND - AUGUST 15: A Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing E-7A Wedgetail, recently deployed to Poland to support NATO airspace surveillance, flies over Warsaw accompanied by two Polish Air Force Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master (Bielik) jet trainers during the Armed Forces Day parade, commemorating Poland's 1920 victory over the Soviet Red Army and marking the 105th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw, on August 15, 2025. The event featured more than 4,000 Polish troops, about 200 soldiers from allied NATO nations, around 300 military vehicles, and nearly 50 aircraft, making it the largest parade in the country's history.

On Sunday 30 January, 1972, British soldiers opened fire on unarmed civilians taking part in a civil rights march in Derry killing thirteen and wounding fifteen people, with the day becoming known as Bloody Sunday.
