Eight Javan slow lorises -- five females and three males -- were released into the wild at Ujung Kulon National Park in Banten, Indonesia, on August 14, 2025. The slow lorises had been rehabilitated by the Indonesian Wildlife Rehabilitation Initiative Foundation (YIARI) after being rescued from the illegal wildlife trade, public surrenders, or other cases such as electrocution.
