Fans of the local football club ADO Den Haag will be marching in the hundreds on Saturday towards the centre of the city to demonstrate against a Police strike. Due to the strike the first match of the season will not be taking place. Without proper Police security local officials have decided there can be no match. The game will now take place on August 11th. Police have organized several such initiatives to protest against low wages for which minister of justice Ard Van Der Steur has said there is no funding possible.

THE HAGUE - Dominique Vugt is a professional soccer player for ADO Den Haag. Previous season she played for Lierse SK in Belgium. She was then part of the BeNe League, a cooperation between Dutch and Belgium clubs for female soccer. The Dutch football association has said there is no financial outlook to keep funding the league and has disbanded it. In 2017 the European female fooball cup will be held in The Netherlands.
