The Demonstration Coincides With The Third Remote Appeal Hearing In The Case, As Prisoners Involved Refuse To Appear Before The Court Remotely. Tow Of Them Are Currently On Hunger Strike In Their Cell To Protest What They Describe As Politically Motivated Sentences, Harsh Prison Conditions, A Crackdown On Human Rights, And An Unfair Trial. The Case Involves Around 40 People, Including Members Of The Ennahda Islamist Party, Many Of Whom Were Sentenced To 4–74 Years In Prison By The Court Of First Instance.
