Street artists commemorate 1916 Rebelion in Dublin

The latest street art masterpiece 'The Republic Guarantees…' by ADW, a Dublin based artist, commemorating the 1916 Irish Rebelion, completed on the eve of the centenary of Easter Sunday commemorations. This is one of six pieces put together by Irish street artists with their vision of the 1916 events. The 1916 Rising, that began on Easter Monday and lasted a week, was launched by Irish republicans to end British rule in Ireland and establish an independent Irish Republic while the United Kingdom was heavily engaged in World War I. It was the most significant uprising in Ireland since the rebellion of 1798. Dublin, Ireland, on Saturday, 26 March 2016. (Photo by Artur Widak/NurPhoto)
