Street artists commemorate 1916 Rebelion in Dublin
The spot where the former Moira House once stood, and where 28 Irish Volunteers fought and occupied the buiding during the Irish Easter Week in 1916. The 1916 Rising, that began on Easter Monday and lasted a week, was launched by Irish republicans to end British rule in Ireland and establish an independent Irish Republic while the United Kingdom was heavily engaged in World War I.
