Candlemas Day In Mexico
People enter through the sanitary filter on the esplanade of the Parroquia de la Candelaria located in the Coyoacán mayor's office, Mexico City, on the occasion of the Candlemas Day, to bless the Child God or pray and celebrate the period that culminates with the cycle of the Christmas festivities inside the Catholic church. The celebration is also related to the tradition of Tenerife, Spain, of the Fiesta de las Candelas, or candles, which arose from the story of the appearance of the Virgin Mary in the 14th century.
