Guelaguetza 2023 In Iztapalapa

Claudia Sheinbaum, head of government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada, mayor of Iztapalapa, and Salomon Jara, governor of the State of Oaxaca, are holding a press conference on the occasion of the activities and celebration of the Guelaguetza taking place in the Zocalo of Mexico City as part of the 2023 edition. The Guelaguetza has its origins in pre-Hispanic times, and began with a ritual performed to the ancient gods in a place called Daninayaaloani or hill of beautiful view.
