US-Mexico Border Construction On Secondary Fence Advances In Tijuana And San Diego

Construction on a secondary fence at the US-Mexico border is advancing in Playas de Tijuana on Friday, June 9, 2023, as 30-foot fence panels have been installed and most of the temporary fencing at the San Diego-Tijuana Friendship Park area has been removed. The construction was halted back in 2019 due to litigation and environmental concerns raised by advocates. The secondary wall is expected to be completed in the next two to three months.
