Libya Dawn - Libyan Civil War

November 21, 2014 - Tripoli, Libya - Fajr-Libya (Libya Dawn) supporters rally in Martyrs' Square. Women who have family members who have died in the ongoing battle in Kikla against Zintan militias alligned with the HoR in Tobruk and General Haftar, are given a srction in front of the demonstration. The claim the the UN appointee for Libya, Bernardino Leon, is biased towards the HoR government in Tobruk. They say that the recent Supreme Court decision to invalidate the HoR legitimizes the Salvation Government in Tripoli. While the Tobruk government says they are Islamists, They maintain that they are the natural contiunation of the revolution and that the HoR, now alligned with General Haftar, are former Gadaffi loyalists only focused on consolidating personal power. The square, formerly know as Green Square, was where Gadaffi often addressed the public. (Photo by Christopher Occhicone/NurPhoto)
