Iran-Caspian Miniature Horse

A Caspian miniature horse is galloping in a garden near the city of Karaj, 45km (28 miles) northwest of Tehran, on February 26, 2009. Known also as the Iranian horse or the Persian miniature horse, this small and elegant breed is native to Iran. These horses are known for their refined appearance, spirited nature, and compact size, typically standing at an average height of around 32 to 38 inches. They are primarily found in the northern region and the forests of the Caspian region, specifically in Mazandaran and Gilan provinces. (Photo by Morteza Nikoubazl/NurPhoto)
