Iran-Caspian Miniature Horse

Snowy, a Caspian miniature horse, is being seen in a garden near the city of Karaj, 45km (28 miles) from Alborz province, northwest of Tehran, on June 17, 2011. The Caspian miniature horse, also known as the Iranian horse or the Persian miniature horse, is a small and elegant breed native to Iran. These horses are known for their refined appearance, spirited nature, and compact size, with an average height of around 32 to 38 inches. They are mainly found in the northern region and the forests of the Caspian region, specifically in Mazandaran and Gilan provinces. (Photo by Morteza Nikoubazl/NurPhoto)
