Jewish organizations hold a Chanukah menorah lighting event in front of the White House to call for a ceasefire and Palestinian freedom while President Joe Biden hosts a celebration inside. Biden has steadfastly refused to call for a ceasefire despite the fact that Israeli has killed nearly 18,000 Palestinians since October 7, 2023, in its retaliatory bombing campaign.
