People pay their respects to retired Associate Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, the first woman to serve on the Supreme Court, as she lies in repose on the Lincoln Catafalque in the Court’s Great Hall. Justice O’Connor was appointed by President Ronald Reagan and died December 1, 2023, at the age of 93. Her funeral will take place at the National Cathedral December 19, 2023.
