Protest Of Free Poles In Warsaw
Protesters from the Law and Justice (PiS) party are demonstrating in front of the Polish Parliament in Warsaw, Poland, on January 11, 2024. The new coalition government's changes to public media have sparked protests among PiS supporters. In response to personnel changes and the president's veto on a budget-related bill, PiS politicians have occupied the headquarters of the public television and are facing the liquidation of TVP. The PiS party is also organizing the March of Free Poles in solidarity with Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik, who were detained by the police. The march began in front of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland and is proceeding to the Chancellery of Prime Minister Donald Tusk. (Photo by Klaudia Radecka/NurPhoto)
