Protest Against Changes In TVP In Krakow
Ryszard Majdzik and Barbara Nowak are protesting against changes in public media and in defense of Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik near Wawel Castle in Krakow, Poland, on January 18, 2024. Supporters of the PiS party are protesting the changes introduced in the public media by the new coalition government. The personnel changes and the president's veto on the budget-related bill have led to PiS party politicians occupying the public television's headquarters and to TVP being put into liquidation. In solidarity with Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik, who have been detained by the police, the protesters have organized a demonstration near Wawel and are moving towards the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany.
