Protest Against Changes In TVP In Krakow
Ryszard Majdzik and Barbara Nowak are protesting against changes in public media and in defense of Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik near Wawel Castle in Krakow, Poland, on January 18, 2024. The new coalition government's changes to the public media have sparked protests from PiS supporters. The personnel changes and the president's veto on a budget-related bill have resulted in PiS party politicians occupying the public television's headquarters and TVP being put into liquidation. In solidarity with Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik, who have been detained by the police, the protesters have organized a demonstration near Wawel and are moving towards the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany.
